I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in helping individuals navigate personal and professional life challenges. I work with clients to address anxiety disorders, depression, and bipolar disorders, while enhancing their ability to regulate emotions and replace impulsive behaviors with effective strategies. My approach also emphasizes helping clients identify their intrinsic strengths and values, fostering a continuous flow of positive experiences that build confidence, self-respect, and improve interpersonal relationships.
I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to express their experiences, thoughts, and feelings. While therapy is fundamentally about change, I believe that balancing change with acceptance helps clients achieve their clinical goals.
The modalities I utilize are empirically backed and proven to yield measurable results. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—the gold standard for treating borderline personality disorder—as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, I help clients develop or enhance mindfulness practices, enabling them to identify intense emotions early and create opportunities for skillful behavior in challenging situations, all while remaining focused on their goals.
Drawing on my twenty years of experience in investment banking and securities trading, I relate effectively to clients facing issues in high-pressure environments.
I offer individual sessions at my office in downtown San Francisco, as well as teletherapy options. When appropriate, I also provide phone coaching to help clients build effective, skillful habits they can apply across all areas of their lives.
